Ran great on the highway; rolled to a stop; truck died; needed a tow

haha, Friar, ...now I have my floor jack plus two others thanks to good neighbors!
Take a look at these pics guys...for those that have done this by themselves, do I look to have all the parts necessary? I have a strap wrench on hand for the ring that attaches the pump to the tank.
Is that 'oxy-pad' my truck's only fuel filter?? Why did Chrysler do that?

How in the heck do you get the fuel tank straps off? I know one side is basically a "T" and the other side uses 15mm bolts. Can I just bend the straps backwards? For the life of me (+Screwloose) I need 3/4" more vertical space in order to release some pressure from the tank straps. Or do I just bend them?
