Looses power and wont start

One of wires was going there. It would start and run for awhle. then would just quit. Turn switch. no fuel gauge , no fuel pump.but starter wou;d turn. then about 15 min to 20 min it would start. changed crank pos. sensor. same thing . so some one suggested bad ground . and thats what i found. so hopefully thats what it was. thanks guys...
