That is fantastic and exactly what I am looking for. Where did you get the ones that are on the floor of your bed? I would like to do that exact thing.

I actually just ordered these. Good deal and should be exactly what I need.

Bout the comment I expected.

It doesn't move or slide once it's tied down. And you still secure it laterally. It just works really well for tall things. Say, a refrigerator.

Glad I didn't disappoint.

Here's the thing: If your hundred pound load suddenly weighs six or eight hundred pounds because you're involved in a wreck, it's probably tearing that bed rail and going looking for things to break. People, property, anything and everything in its path is getting wrecked until its energy is expended because someone found personal responsibility to be entirely too much bother.

The pieces on the floor are the off-cuts from the side of the bedrail cut in half... well, not quite half (3 and 2 holes).

I used Angled L-Track (100" length) from US Cargo Control.
They have a great range of accessories also.

It can be found cheaper at Cargo Control Store, but I found they had long lead times (whenever I tried to buy from them at least), and if the picture is anything to go by, it looks like a lesser quality finish.

And as always, check Amazon... they also have it.

[Edit]
Here's the "what did you do..." post from the day I installed the tiedown rails.

The ones I found were actually fulfilled by US Cargo Control. 4 2" tie downs for $28. I just need a few more points to tie down to. Will post some pics once installed.

Got the new tie downs in. Sorry for the bad pictures. They came with backing plates as well. Going to give them a shot helping my brother move a couch this weekend.

They'll be fine (so long as you only want to tie to those four locations).

Tip... vacuum up the swarf, or you'll end up with rust spots all over your bed.

Yup! I figured this at least gives me a few more options, and the bed is all cleaned up now.
