Tie Down Recommendations
That is fantastic and exactly what I am looking for. Where did you get the ones that are on the floor of your bed? I would like to do that exact thing.
I actually just ordered these. Good deal and should be exactly what I need.

It doesn't move or slide once it's tied down. And you still secure it laterally. It just works really well for tall things. Say, a refrigerator.
Glad I didn't disappoint.
Here's the thing: If your hundred pound load suddenly weighs six or eight hundred pounds because you're involved in a wreck, it's probably tearing that bed rail and going looking for things to break. People, property, anything and everything in its path is getting wrecked until its energy is expended because someone found personal responsibility to be entirely too much bother.

I used Angled L-Track (100" length) from US Cargo Control.
They have a great range of accessories also.
It can be found cheaper at Cargo Control Store, but I found they had long lead times (whenever I tried to buy from them at least), and if the picture is anything to go by, it looks like a lesser quality finish.
And as always, check Amazon... they also have it.
[Edit]
Here's the "what did you do..." post from the day I installed the tiedown rails.

Yup! I figured this at least gives me a few more options, and the bed is all cleaned up now.
