How to wire tweeters after bypassing amp
Hi I have a 2000 Dodge ram 1500 sport quad cab with the infinity stereo system I recently replaced all the speakers the head unit and bypassed the factory amps now my tweeters don't work can anyone help me figure out how to wire them so the work after bypassing factory amps with out any problems
If they have built in crossovers, just splice them in right to your speakers wire. You may want to get a separate crossover to send the mids to your speaker and the highs to the tweeter.
If they are new, look at the box or instructions and see, or contact the seller you bought them from.
If you replaced all the speakers, didn't you see the wires going to them? At any rate, if you don't know, you should download the FSM and look up some wiring diagrams.
I'm just confused cuz I went to a stereo shop here and they keep telling me I need 400 dollar crossovers I just trying to figure out that since my tweeters are hooked into the factory tweeter harness and I bypassed the amps what color wires I have to splice in the door speakers to get my tweeters working again I tried looking up diagrams but I got more confused
Sorry, I don't have enough information on how you performed this upgrade to answer you. Pull the tweeters off and look at the wires you need to run to the front door speakers.
