You may find that the front is higher than the rear after replacing the front coils... the leaf springs are significantly more expensive than coils. I'd try just new shocks and see what you think.

Just as a point of reference: With the Dayton 1770lb. coils and a Ranch Hand bumper out in front, with stock rears, my front sits just about an inch lower than the rear. I didn't bother measuring with the gum wrapper bumper still on but it looked to be pretty near level on the new unsettled coils.

My truck's probably not typical, so everyone else's mileage will likely vary.

I just got a set of the Monroe gas magnums in the mail yesterday and I'm about to go put them on. I'm thinking they will be better than the Sensatrac shocks that are on there now.
$128 for four shocks from Rockauto.com is a little better than $200+ if I got them from a local parts store so I can't complain about the price.
