What does your volt gauge have to say when the engine is running?

Here is a video that explains how to do it. Pretty simple. Ive worked on a dakota with a 5.2 that the starter was causing a battery drain. You can atleast identify the circuit

That is where it is supposed to be. How old is the battery?

2 weeks. Got a new one though. Advance Auto said the other was defective. Hoping that was the end of this issue.
