Default 99 dodge ram 1500 5.9 v8 backfiring at high rpms.

okay guys so I've run into a bit of an issue. i have a 99 dodge ram 1500 5.9 v8 and just yesterday it started to backfire out of the exhaust at high rpms. it dose it right at 4100-4500 rpms. all plugs and wires are new as well as the d-cap rotor and ignition coil. it only dose it in drive and it runs well other than at those rpms. havent really noticed a loss in power. any advice would be very helpful.

What plugs did you use? If anything other than good old copper cores, just throw them in the trash and get the champion plugs listed on the emissions sticker on the radiator support, or another brand of the same thing if you prefer.

And if that doesn't help, replace the crank sensor. (with a dealer unit please.)
