right turn signal blows fuses
Hello this is my first post here and I would really appreciate some help.
I have read many threads hoping to find an answer to no avail.
I have a 98 ram 1500 with a right rear turn signal that blows fuses. Everything other than turn signals and hazards works fine. I replaced the multi function switch in the steering column and also replaced the right rear socket. Hazards made buzzing sound in steering column and left signal lasted about 10 seconds before the switch was replaced and that stopped with the new one. I went on a test ride and right rear signal worked for about 5 flashes before blowing the fuse again. I don't really know where to go from here. The ground of the right rear signal seems to be burnt, the wire itself, not charred insulation but the copper is black. Any one who can point me in the right direction would really help a lot. If my post is a little hard to decipher I would be happy to answer questions. I've tried everything I could think of and need help.

Well, If the ground is burnt. I would suggest fixing that first and see what happens. If that doesn't help. Pull out the tail light and inspect the wires and make sure nothing has rubbed the insulation off causing a short.
Sounds like ur grounding out in the lighting system....and I would check out if u have a tow package....sometime a wire will rub against the metal and short out the system......
