Does anybody know if seats from a 98 clubcab are direct bolt in to a 96 clubcab? Same with taillight housings?

Reason I'm asking is I've found a 98 parts truck for $500, thinking about buying it to pull some parts for my 96

Seats: No. Too much changed from 96 to 98.

Taillights: *should* be pretty much the same.

I would be doing some careful measuring. If the holes line up for the bolts, you probably can make them work. If the mechanisms on your 96 are working okay, you may be able to transfer the cushions & upholstery over from the 98. 98 appears to be an "improvement" year. Things changed but not enough to create a new generation.

As the seatbelts on the 98 are actually in or attached to the front seats, be very careful about drilling holes in the floor pan to bolt the seats down. At the very least back them up underneath with some more structural steel.

ok, thanks for the info, was just looking at pictures so far, and it looked like the seatbelts were in the seat. Am probably gonna pass on the parts truck then as the main thing I wanted were the seats since mine are worn right down to the springs.

Many swap a good passenger seat over to the drivers side since they are pretty much the same. I think there are a few posts here on the subject.

Yes, both my seats are worn right thru, along with the tracks not working very good, adjustment levers broken, etc. That's why I was hoping the 98 ones would bolt right in.
