Default Play in steering

I have play in my steering wheel. Have already replaced Pitman arm and steering gear box and had an alignment done. It feels like there's a bushing or a part somewhere in the steering under the hood that is worn out or messed up. Any insight would be great.

Have someone else wiggle the steering wheel, while you look around.

What brand steering box did you get? If it is just some generic, stock replacement box, chances are good that is where your slop is.

Is there anyway to upload a video to show the issue?

just paste a youtube link, and the video can be watched here.

I also agree with dbbd1, that you should look at the rock solid ram steering fix. It replaces some parts in the steering column

I just tried to mess with it earlier and moved the intermediate steering shaft and the steering wheel turns with it. It looks like the looseness and play in the steering is coming from the steering gearbox and it just got installed about a week ago by a shop so. I'm assuming they didn't tighten it up at all. Gonna have to go back and show em what the deal is

That's the problem with the "stock replacement" boxes. They are sometimes worse than what you are replacing. You could go thru four or five of them, before you get one that's decent. That's why folks here recommend going with a redhead, or borgeson box. They actually get reconditioned, as opposed to just bearings and seals. Redhead is a direct bolt-in, borgeson needs the shaft from column to box as well.

It's a masterpro remained gear box. So I guess I'm gonna have to see what I can find from other sources

Go with the redhead box. Good quality rebuild, good staff behind the product, good warranty. Bolts right in. You won't find a comparable box anywhere else. (well, the borgeson, but, then you spend another almost 300 bucks on the shaft as well....)
