pushrod question
Well here's the story. My pick up just randomly stopped when driving and I took the valve cover of and turns out a rocker fell off. Now these are the harland sharp rockers and when I went in too get a new bolt it was a bit shorter and when I was tightening it I went too tight and the pushrod wont come back up even when turning the crank. MY truck wont start. All fuses are good along with fuel pump. Any idea how to get it back up?
Got a photo or two of your valve train where the offending rocker setup is? Have these H-S rockers been on there long? Have you pulled the other valve cover to see if there are any issues with the valve train there?
Its the 2nd one on the left side. They've been on for about 1 year. I pulled the other valve cover off and everything looks good. The compression test I did before making the pushrod sink a lot was all great except the one with the rocker off. Maybe 10psi
Interesting. Photo certainly helps in this case. First off, it appears that you are running Edelbrock heads. This is helpful to know, since you must run a non-stock Chevy style rocker arm with these heads. I'd pull that pushrod out and try to take a flashlight and look down the pushrod hole in the head to see if you can see the lifter. If so, try turning the motor and see if the lifter moves up and down. It could also be that the pushrod is not seated in the lifter. Lastly, the pushrod might be bent. Once you pull the pushrod out, try laying it on a flat surface and roll it over a bit to see if you see a bend in it. Try those things and let us know what you find.
Also, are you running an aftermarket camshaft in your motor? From the photo, those look like Crower rocker arms, not H-S.
Also, please update your profile with your truck's information. Nice to see those heads on your engine - I have a set that I haven't installed yet, but plan to when I build up a 408 motor in the not-too-distant future.

Seems like a stuck/collapsed lifter to me.

From the top view I'm not sure what I'm suppose to be looking at. I can push down on the pushrod and it has a little squish too it. I know I'm suppose to run chevy rockers but the company said it was okay too run these with just having an R/t 10 cam. The pushrod is straight and not bent and has no debris in the hole. When I turn the crank by hand I get no movement as I get from the other rockers
Did you pull the pushrod off the engine and check it on a flat surface? Once the pushrod was removed from the engine, did you look down the pushrod hole on the head to check the condition of the hydraulic roller lifter? To get a good look, you may need to remove the other rocker and guide plate.
