Trying to swap an OBD2 drive train into a pre OBD2 vehicle is the problem. You might be able to swap the engine wiring harnesses, but the transmission will require wiring that j ust isn't there.

BTW, you haven't lived til you swap out a Porsche boxster automatic harness for a manual one. It was amazing.
