Default Brakes went out yesterday

So one of my rear brake cylinders was out for a couple days. And since I was off today I figured I would change it. But now on my way home from work yesterday my brakes stopped working if I pumped them and went slow it barely stopped but going a little fast the pedal went to the floor and my truck was still rolling any solutions. I need it fixed by Thursday.

Sounds like you are leaking fluid. It's not safe to drive. Now is a good time to upgrade to the 2500 rear cylinders. Do the front upgrade when you can afford that too. It's worth it.

Yeah I just popped open the fluid Reservoir and it was very very low but it was full a couple days ago im gonna go buy the cylinders and some fluid when pepboys opens today. Are the 2500 cylinders much different than the stock ones?

Exact same mounting and fit with just a bigger bore and piston. The same with the fronts. Use the 1500 shoes and pads with the 2500 cylinders and calipers. A world of difference. Some have gone with 1 ton rears but the 3/4 ton is plenty for me. I have problems NOT locking them up, when I'm unloaded, even with the ABS.

Not sure how deep your pocket book is right now but if you have to bleed the system when you put the new cylinders on, you may want to replace the rubber lines while you're at it.

make sure to take a good hard look at the brake line running to the rear axle. It likes to rust out, and break.
