Default Who replaced drop down cup colder

Has anyone replaced their drop down dash cup holder with a different or after market cup holder?

I'm curious if there is a better after market out there that fits that space better. Would appreciate pic and info.
Thanks

I don't have a pic handy, but I replaced the drop down cup holder with the cubby hole center piece out of a manual trans truck and use the cup holder that slips under the center console lid.

What does that piece look like, what does it do?

Is it past the point of repair? I've had to internally repair mine with metal brackets, nuts and bolts and JB weld. It'll survive a nuclear bomb now. Also made custom inserts that prevent the stupid cups from falling out on every corner you take; what a dumb design. Has worked awesome (daily) for a couple of years now.

I think the aftermarket options are a bit tacky but that's just my opinion. I'm not aware of any complete bolt-on units for that same hole.

Here's one on ebay. It just replaces the drop down because it will interfere with the shifter. I like the aftermarket cup holder. Drinks are easier to reach, everything stays put and has a little tray for smaller items.

Dang, I like that better too. I never use them because drinks just won't stay put. I made my own, similar to the ones from geno's garage.

I'll have to check out LMC truck.

On both my 94 and 96 I just cut the bottoms out of the cup holder and it works fine.
Now I don't drink coffee so I don't know how it would work with coffee mugs, but with a large drink from say fast food joint it works great.
