You aren't getting 'death wobble' are you? Feels like the passenger front tire is bouncing up and down at an incredible rate, and the truck becomes almost uncontrollable? I could see how that would cause the lugs to snap........

The oil pressure light comes on when it does it, and if I'm going slow enough, the engine will stall. Death wobble wouldn't do that.

That's a separate issue. (oil pressure)

Hhhmmm..... is all of your steering gear in good shape?
