Default front brake cable replacement procedure

Mainly, looking at where it connects to the pedal. I've got the rest of it disconnected. Can't really see where the cable end catches in the pedal mechanism. Do I need to remove the pedal assembly to swap the cable?

The parking brake cable, where the end knot connects to the foot pedal assembly.

Probably be easier if you unbolt the pedal assembly from the truck, so you can move it to where it is easier to work on. Might be a bit interesting to get it out, but, I think the frustration levels will be lower that way.

So, it sounds like it is only 2 or 3 bolts to undo, def easier than working with you upside down.

Got it, was easy once I saw where the clevis was (really high up in there). Its not worth pulling the pedal assembly out, really quick once you see what is going on. Small hose clamp works great to get those prongs collapsed you can remove the cable housing.

Tough working on this stuff when its below freezing.... warming up a bit, have to pull the bumper so I can put the driver fender back on...
