Default Exhaust tape

Has anyone uses exhaust tape? I just had my catalytic converter hollowed out but we left a little hole on the bottom. I was going to use exhaust tape to cover it up just to get home. I only have to drive for like an hour. Will it quiet down my exhaust because it's a little loud because of the hole.

Ok, how does that work? Can I get it at like a Advance auto parts? The hole is about 2 inches long but narrow.

I'm not sure if advance carries it or not any more... It's been quite a few years since I had to buy any.... Check with the muffler shops in your area, they should be able to tell you, or, sell it to you....

Ok. I can call and ask them but if they don't have the cement I'll see if they have exhaust tape just for now. I'm only going to be driving about 60 miles to get home because I just don't want to deal with the loudness.

In the "old days" I used to use a soup can or tin can around the exhaust pipe, held in place with pipe clamps. You could try a tin can with the tape holding it on.
