Hiillbilly flatbed
2002 ram 2500/5.9 gas/auto. Will not take off in first without shifting into low,
at about 15 mph manualy shift to drive. Acts fine, no hard shifts. Has 89,000 mi .
Trans may not have been serviced or type of fluid used. Thinking of flushing and doing a complete fluid change with filter. Are there other isuses that might be addressed with the pan off. (governor pressure sencor and selenoid issue) band adj. My obdii can’t read the trans codes, said its missing a link

Don't flush the trans, that usually causes more problems than it solves. Dropping the pan, doing a fluid/filter change, and adjusting the bands isn't a bad idea though.
Try this test:
Disconnect 8-pin connector on drivers side of trans.
Go for a drive. The trans will have zero automatic function. It will stay in the gear you tell it to be in. (at least, it should....) So, drive slow and easy, shift when necessary, downshift when necessary. If the trans goes into the gear you tell it to, when you tell it to, the mechanicals are fine. If you have shifting issues with it plugged in, try replacing the governor pressure sensor and solenoid. (borg warner makes a nice heavy duty solenoid, you can get the set off ebay for around 100 bucks.)

Did as you said, shifted and down shift smooth. Code in odomiter came up po 753 was this code brcause of the pin conection being unpluged? How do you drain all of the fluid out not just whats in the pan encluding the coolers? In wal mart the only atf+4 there house brand which i would't put in b&s lawnmower. What would recommend?

No auto parts stored by you? Order online maybe...
But, short of removing the torque converter, I am not sure that there is a way to fully drain the system.
At least the trans seems mechanically fine, it's just some electronics that are not telling it what to do.

So the mechanicals are good, it's the electrics that are giving you grief. So, change the electronics. Don't worry about changing ALL the fluid in the trans, you will get four to six quarts out just dropping the pan. (around a quarter, to a third of capacity.....) If the fluid is REALLY bad, do the fluid/filter change, drive it 100 miles, drop the pan, change the fluid again, drive another hundred, etc.
While the pan is down to change the solenoids and such, be sure and do a band adjustment.
You can replace the tcc, and o/d solenoids as well, if ya like, and that will change the entire harness in the trans. (which would include new seals on the connector...)
