my 1996 started to have oil pressure problems the gauge says it has no oil pressure but no knocking from lower end but the valve train is tapping on the right bank the gauge started to show oil pressure again but half of normal has anyone had this probem

Didn't some of the V-10s have oil pump issues????

 

I just recently had the same issue and it was solved by installing a new send unit. I did have an oil pump go bad years ago, it let loose with a big bang then lost oil pressure. It was under warranty at the time.
