Default Replacing '95 headlight assembly

Slid in the ice and bumped up against my mailbox post and crunched the drivers side headlight. Just ordered a new pair and was wondering if there are any special tricks on taking out the assembly and replacing the new ones. I just scanned it quickly from the front and see a few screws that need to be taken out but hoping it is not a job where I have to take off six things in order to get the one thing off I need.

It is real cold outside so hoping for a heads up on this

Anyone here did a R&R on these head lamp assemblies? thanks

If you loosen up the bumper bolts, and let it sag down a bit, it makes the job easier. Also, I had trouble getting to the drivers side electrical connectors, as the battery was in the way........ You may have different results.

Yeah, I was looking under the hood and looked tight place to work with the battery there. Did you manage to do the job without removing the battery? Hope I don't have to loosen the Bumper...bet those bolts are rusted tight with a 22 year old truck.

Looks like I will have to bring her into the barn since I don't want to be wrestling in the snow and 15 degree temperatures.

My bumper had already sagged enough that I didn't need to move it. It was tight getting to a couple of the lower mounting bolts for the headlights though... but, doable.

I think I pulled the battery just to make my life easier.

I have changed mine twice and never removed the bumper or the battery. I have a 96 and can have them both out in less than 5 min. IMO it's one of the easier mods for our trucks. If you are going to replace them might I recommend going with a newer clear lens and LED for the lamp. It is amazing!!

Thanks Hemibuck: I already ordered a replacement pair off E-Bay. They are new but doubt if they are Clear lens, don't remember that in the ad. I was planning on getting the newer brighter type bulbs since the old headlights didn't seem to light up the road that much but then again, maybe it is my tired 62 year old eyes that are at fault...

Don't waste money on the "Silverstar's" or other incandescent lamps. LED's have come a long way. I have HID in my Magnum and had a set in the Ram but they quit working. I got so sick of not being able to see the road that I finally looked into LED's and in the past 3 years the technology has really come around. The kit I got is amazing and has a 2 year warranty. Along with the replacement housings I can see better than ever!

Here is the LED's I went with: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Here is the link for the housing:

And here is the link for the Fog lights I went with. The fit right in the spot that the stock ones went:
