ABS Light - 95 1500 4x4
I have no idea what fixed the light but here's what I did before it went off:
replaced blown brake light fuse
cleaned a wire that was grounded on a bracket holding the proportioning valve.
Ill take it, what ever did it!

I recently picked up the truck and working out a few old truck kinks.
What can cause the ABS light to come on and stay on?
My assumption is a faulty circuit between a control module of some sort (maybe PCM?) and the ABS sensors @ the wheels. If this is the case, is there a particular range of resistance the sensors should have to keep from throwing a light?
Thanks,
Mike

Go buy a brake light switch for like 13$ and problem solved . I went thru the same notions changed everything and still on but once I changed the switch problem solved
Hi, New to the forum here but thought I'd add my 2 cent in. I was searching YouTube for someone with the same problem my truck had (ABS and Brake Light ON). I had already replaced the rear ABS sensor on the differencial and found guy that showed his truck having the same problem as mine. He showed that by driving down the road (both ABS and Brake Light ON) that even going at 50 mph he'd lift up (pull back) the brake pedal with his foot and both lights went out suggesting that the Stop Light Switch at the pedal was bad. I've picked up a new one ($14.00) at Advance Auto and I'm going to try it. Can't hurt for that price. He replaced his and fixed his ABS and Brake Light problem.

UUUgh. I have replaced the ABS Speed sensor on the diff. Didn't work. Read where it might be the ABS computer. I had paid someone to replace it previous, but he botched it, destroyed the connector, on both sides of the connection. Fixed it myself. ABS and Brake lights come on intermittently now.
Read where it migh be the ABS Computer, so I replaced that too. Damn Torx, meant a second trip to Pull-a-Part. No change. If I have to do this where I just keep throwing parts at it, at least they are cheap!
I appreciate all the input!
