Ignition light not working

1998 1500 the light on the Ignition isn't working I swithched the bulb but it still doesn't work any one know why

That light gets its power from fuse 12 in the block on the side of the dash. It also powers the vanity lights in the visors, the glove box light, and the underhood light. Do any of them work?

ya they do but my cup holder and ash trey lights don't

Probably have a bad splice somewhere. You can download the service manual for your truck from here. Wiring diagrams are in section 8W.

Cup holder and ash tray lights are part of your "dash lights" and dimness will vary accordingly with your dimmer on the dash. Separate from your keyhole light, which is just on or off.
