Default Cab swap 95 1500 cab to 01 2500

Trying to figure out if I can swap a cab from a 95 1500 4x4 318 truck to a 2001 2500 4x4 360 truck. I'm a new Dodge owner just got the 3/4 ton and fell in love with it. But if I don't switch the cab soon I may be dragging my butt on the asphalt. Kinda rusty

If they are both standard cabs, it should work, but...

The wiring will be completely different. They changed it over in '97.

And then there is the question of trans, auto or manual on both?

How bad is the rust on the cab? I can see the rockers and corner are gone(both are available (patch panels)). You could replace the sheet metal.

A LOT changed in 98.... The wiring, the seats, even the cab floor is different. It will likely bolt to the frame without trouble, but, getting everything to work right, well, it ain't gonna be easy.

And ..

It's 5.2 vs 5.9. Small (but some) changes with that too. You would definitely be looking at wiring harness swap.
