Default Throttle cable or Transmission?? Please help!!!

So I own an 01 Dodge Ram 1500 5.2L and I'm having problems, my truck was bogging and not wanting to shift at low speeds and if I put the pedal to the floor it would get over the bogging but come back as soon as I let of and went to push gas so I replaced the throttle cable and now if the middle piece that adjusts it is all the way out I will big for a sec and stop but when it shift it wants to shift at 4000rpms and only if I rev it that high and let off, with the middle price half way out it will shift fine to second gear but won't shift to third unless I step on it and then take my foot off gas but after it shifts and I step on the gas again it goes back to second and if it's all the way in and the tip is parallel with the outside of the square it won't shift out of first gear. I have no clue if it's the position of this the transmission or something els???? Please help!!!

Some pictures and punctuation would help. I can't understand what you're saying. The tip of what is parallel with what square? It might just need a new filter and the bands adjusted. Check the wiring connector on the transmission for frayed or melted wires.

The bogging may have nothing to do with the trans or throttle cable. It could need a tune up, have a blown plenum gasket, plugged catalytic converter, or weak fuel pump.

Sorry I forgot to put the picture in there
-With that piece all the way out (the piece I circled) it bogs a bit and has hard shift from 1st to 2nd.
-With it like the picture it will shift into 2nd but not third until I take foot off the gas, but as soon as I put foot on the gas again it shifts to 2nd gear.
-With it all the way pulled in it won't shift out of first.

the letting off the gas to allow it to shift sounds like probably a shift solenoid and sensor issue. have you been in the transmission in a while? I would start by getting the cable back as close to where it was before you adjusted it( or about how the old one was sitting). those adjustments are like a 1/16" movements at a time to get the shift points right.

see if it will shift at low speed if you take you foot off the gas instead of trying to rev high rpm to get it to shift.

It doesn't want to shift at low rpm's and yes well a shop has, the pump gasket where the torque converter went into was worn down so I replaced that and the torque converter. And when I put the tranny back in I busted the throttle valve cable. For a temp fix till the new one arrived I dictated the part that was broke and it would bog pretty bad.

I don't know if it will help you but send me an email and I'll send you a pdf of how to adjust the tv cable. Moving it 1/8" can have drastic results on the shifting so it takes a lot of effort dialing that in. hemifever@hemifevertuning.com

TV cable makes more sense, I couldn't understand how the throttle cable would make the engine bog. LOL
