Default 5.9 cummins fuse box

My wife was recently driving our 96 2500 2nd gen 5.9 diesel and called and asked what the GEN light meant on the dash lol. When she got home upon further inspection I discovered that the fuse box on the fender well was melted where the 120A alternator fuse is so I got a used fuse box and began to remove it but am now stuck because I do not know how to get the wires out of the bottom of the fuse box. I removed the white plastic retainer clips but the wires will still not pull out of the box. please don't tell me I need a new wiring harness as well.....

Isn't there just a plug on the bottom that's held in by a screw????

Service manual doesn't show much.

no there is not. there are 12 plastic retainer clips all with groups of wires under them and I can take the retainers off but the wires that the fuses and relays plug into will not pull out of the box.

What does it look like they did to the replacement box? Did they just cut the harness?

Ouch. You may need some special tool to release the individual wires from their sockets.... then you need to get them back in the right place in the 'new' PDC..... that just ain't gonna be any fun. Getting it with the whole harness would probably be easier.... Sorry Man.

Here this looks to be the tool you need to remove the terminals https://www.toolsource.com/terminal-...-p-132779.html
