Default 2001 dodge 2500

Hey I got a 2001 dodge 2500 5.9 Cummins and I also have a 2001 dodge 1500 4x4 5.2.

Just curious if if I can swap my body and motor over into this 1500? My Cummins is longbed and 2x4 and I hate it. I have a 4x4 Cummins transmission already. The body mounts and motor mounts appear to be the same. Just curious how hard this would be.

Maybe? You'll have to swap the pcm over and I don't know if the connectors are the same. Also I'm not positive the if the transfer case is the same from the gas to diesel applications. Also you will want to swap your front springs into the 1500 to support the extra weight from the Cummings.

That's just a couple things I can think of but besides that I'm not sure.

Default 2001 Cummins swap

Both trucks are running and driving, I will be using the cab off my 2500. The idea is just using the 1500 frame. Nothing else

If they are both the same cab style, and bed length, should swap over.....
