I will be addressing this on Saturday...... As I will be changing mine out as well. Gotta work the next couple days. (not to mention, the part won't be here till thursday...) But, TPS should be on the throttle body. I don't know the orientation of the throttle shaft yet, but, TPS has to be on one side of it, or the other......

thanks but i know it is on the throttle body but it is not on the front and i cant see under it or behind it . if it is behind it i think it will be easiest to remove the intake or the entire engine to get to it, lol.

i'm guessing they did not make many v10 trucks

If you aren't in a hurry, I will have some definitive information on this by Saturday evening. Almost all of my parts are here now, so, Saturday is going to be the day I get the party started.

ok thanks . if i find the info before then i will post it for you otherwise i will wait for your info but you will definitely need a ladder unless your arms are 6 feet long . dodge must sell a ladder as a special tool to work on these . i had to stand on a 4 x 4 just to change the t stat and im 5' 10" lol.

what problems does yours exhibit?

thanks for the info on the other threads . i fixed the loose connection on the temp sender and got that check engine light to go off but after driving 50 miles the light came back on and it said it is now the tps . can't wait to see what fails after this . im trying to get it emissions tested so the light cant be on . its driving me nuts . my mileage did go up after fixing the t stat and the sender so it is now telling the computer that the engine is hot instead of ice cold.

Both the tps and IAC are on the side of the throttle body against the firewall. Both are easy to get at, but a pain to get the connectors off. You need to remove the air box obviously, 4 nuts either 10 or 11mm, I think. Remove the outer air box cover and air filter to get at them. You shouldn't need to remove the vent tube that attaches at the back of the airbox base. It will rotate out of the way to give you access.

The screws on both sensors are T-25 Torx.

ok thanks for the info . any secrets on removing the plug . this process went rather poorly on my temp sender, lol.

also, do i need a 2' ladder or 3' ladder or chubaca to even be able to reach it . no way i can reach it by standing on my 4x4 board.

I'm only 5'7 so I generally use one of those 3 step fold out ladder thingys and toss a thick towel across the fender and battery area to lean on. The clip is one of those "push in the middle of it and hope it comes off types" that we all love to hate. I found it much easier to remove the 2 torx screws, slide the sensor out of the TB and rotate towards me to remove the plug. There's plenty of slack in the harness to do that with both the TPS and IAC motor.

Or if you're really ambitious. Pull the 4 studs holding the TB to the intake and clean everything as a unit.
