1995 dodge ram 2500 V8 5.9 steering play
Jack up the front end and put in on jack stands. Put your hands at 9 and 3 move the wheel. Look behind and see if there is any movement in the ball joints. Also, look for play on the pitman arm. Check the steering for any visual problems aswell.
Its been jacked up since I had to replace the tranny while I was under there I replaced literally everything I could think of its just the wheel play I mean when I Drive it it gets tighter but not a whole lot

Welcome to DF!
And thank you for your service.
If you have replaced everything else in front, it's probably the steering box. They are rather notorious for that kind of behavior. You could try adjusting it.... but, it's best to pull it out, and do BOTH adjustments if you are going that route. Or, you could replace it. The stock replacements you get at the local parts stores though, aren't always the best idea. You might get lucky, and get a good box, but, chances are, it will be just as bad, or worse.... than what you have now. If you want to go the replacement route, go with a redhead, or borgeson steering box. They are pricey, but, MUCH higher quality than the stock reman fellers.
