Well the tranny works good now, shifts like it should and picks 4th gear!

I'm talking about the old tranny that was under my 2001 ram... Reverse is broken , oil full of metal bits... Better get a rebuild on that.

They told me they can put fortified Kevlar plates of something , are there any known mods? To the trannys?

Tons. Just depends on how much you wanna spend. Rumor has it, that the hard parts from the 47RE will all fit in a 46RE case. So, you get six pinion planetaries, and the like. Extra clutches/steels, billet accumulator pistons, etc.

If you look on page Six of MonteC's Transmission Corner thread, there is a list of suggested parts there, for a member that regularly towed a 7K pound trailer.

Check out PATC for upgrades on parts and whole units. 1800 Euros is probably an "okay" price, depending upon how you feel about how trustworthy they are.
