Default 94 Ram gauge swap

Ive searched and found an answer for the 98+ 2nd gen but nothing for my 94. I bought a 1994 Ram 2500 with the 360 5 speed to tow with but the dang thing doesn't have a tach. I went to the local junkyard to get a cluster and found one but when I put it in the tach still doesn't work. So my question is there a different wiring for this or is the tach just broke on this cluster?

Grab the service manual for your truck from here. Wiring diagrams are in section 8W. According to theory, the wire should be there, and it should work..... for some folks, it's pop it in, and it works. Others.... not so lucky.

Yeah, sounds like a wiring job. You could alway put I. Some pod gauges or a colum guage. But I prefer the look of the stock.

You are lucky tho bro. I've been looking for a 2500 v8 5sp to maybe do a swap and haven't had no luck, or at least one that's in my price range

I paid $600 for it and drove it almost 3hrs home without a problem except not having the tach. Runs great and only has 175k miles.
