Default Transmission Swap

Quick question, I have a 97 Dodge Ram 1500 5.9 4x4.. The Transmission has gone out, not completely, 1st and Reverse went out.. I have found a 2000 Durango.. Would the Transmission work out of that vehicle?

Depends on the engine in the Durango.

What engine is in the Durango? If it isn't a 318, or 360, then it is quite unlikely it will work.

If the Durango has a 5.2 or 5.9 the transmission should bolt up however it is likely the 42re. If that's the case don't expect it to last real long under a full size truck.
