2001 Dodge Ram 1500 key fob

We bought a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 that does not have a key fob do we have to go to a dealer to get one or can we buy one on line?

You can buy one online but are you sure that it is "fob-ready?" Just because it has power locks doesn't mean that it will accept a fob.
