So I have only one adjustment on my seat and it's too far back for safety and comfort. Pulled the seat yesterday to see what was not working and found that the mechanism has literally broken - metal split - that is causing the entire mechanism to work incorrectly. Is this a replaceable part or is a new seat in order?

Probably easiest just to get the whole seat. Check local junkyards.

 

That's what I'm thinking. Finding drivers side to be a challenging find.
