Default 97 ram 1500 2wd

I recently hit a big pothole i didn't see really hard and soon after, i now feel a shifting in my brake, gas petals when i go from like 20 mph and then hit the brakes. the shifting is also in my steering wheel when i turn. could this just be a simple alignment issue or worse like bad, worn joints. i was going to go in for an alignment and see what that turns up with. any thoughts? btw I'm new to the website and new dodge owner.

Welcome to DF!

Check the tire that hit the hole. Likely it just shifted, or broke, some belts in the tire. I live on a dirt road, and am far to familiar with that event.....
