Default How do i get a few more MPGs out of my 360?

I've got a 98 ram 1500 with a 360. The engine is bone stock (other than a junk cold air intake put in by the previous owner) and the truck has a 6" lift on 35s. Its my daily driver but im only getting around 6-9mpg in town. Is there any mods i can do to increase the gas mileage of it?

P.S.- please no "if you want gas mileage buy a prius" comments. I love my truck and i will drive it no matter how bad the mileage is, but i will still do whatever i can to get the best mileage possible out of it, thats just common sense.

Drive it gently. No rabbit take offs. No racing to get around people. Basically, drive like a grandma, like I do. But having large wheels and tires on a 4wd is going to seriously hurt your mileage no matter how you drive. Secondly, that 360 is good and drinking gas and not much else. A 318 doesn't give up much power to the 360 and you can hypermile a 318 and get a huge boost in mileage. A 360 really doesn't seem to care too much how you drive-it's going to chug fuel like a wino.

This.

Unfortunately, you are looking at over 2 grand for just these two items, and it will only bump fuel mileage by a few points. It would take a VERY long time for the benefits to pay for themselves......
