Default Vehicle overheats after changing timing chain cover?

I am having trouble with my truck overheating and pushing coolant back into the overflow after replacing the timing chain/cover. has gurgling noise from top hose after sitting for awhile. Is there just excessive air the system? Or??? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

They are notorious for getting air trapped and having to be "burped". Is there heat when you turn your heater on high? A lot of times you'll get very little heat out of your hvac due to air being trapped.

Did you replace the thermostat too? Maybe it's in upside down.

I used a vacuum bleeder to get a good amount of the air out. And the vehicles did have a good amount of heat with the temperature at around 230 degrees. I did replace the thermostat and put it in the way it came out, with the spring side down

Drill a hole(1/8) in the t stat, It will let the air out when you fill it. Must be a hundred posts a on this same subject. Read post #14!
