Default Front axle seals

Seems I have an issue with front axle seals. I always buy them from my dealer so I get genuine Mopar seals, yet they don't last long. My truck has an easy life of only highway miles, yet I only manage about 15,000 miles before they leak again. I run Amsoil Severe Gear 75W-90 fluid if that matters. Any advice on getting more longevity out of the seals? Its not fun replacing them...

Also, is there an easier way of changing the driver's side seal, or do I need to remove the entire differential?

Drivers side seal just sucks. No easy way to do it.

Could try military grade seals.... triple lip, multi-spring.... Not sure where you would source them though.

I see on the parts fiche that there are bushings in there near the seals. Is it likely that my bushings are worn out?

Ok, my bad. I just checked my maintenance records and I haven't done my seals in a long time. It was U-joints about 20,000 miles ago. I went in to do the axle seal on the drivers side and just gave up! It's just been weeping for a couple years but now it's actually wetting the tire. Are the Hayes manuals decent? Is pulling the carrier a complicated job? (Both seals are now leaking on the insides of the tires)

Download the factory service manual for your truck from here. Read the procedure thru a couple times, and decide from there if you want to tackle it.

if its coil and link front suspension, the front differential case must be removed....plus calipers, rotors, hub/bearing and axles. check the ball joints before you start...with it all apart, it would be the time to do them also.
