Default Track Bar Bushing

So i have a 98 ram 1500 4x4 with a bad track bar bushing. Is it a 1 piece or 2 piece bushing? All the auto parts sellers have both and i dont want to buy the wrong parts. Also, whats the best method to get the old bushing out?

How is the other end of the track bar? Might be easier to just replace the whole thing.

Looking at the various offerings, I think either flavor would work, the two-piece fellers are just easier to install.

You can press the old one out, or, barring that, cut it up, and take it out in chunks.

That OEM track bar is famous for going bad at the ball joint end. If you plan on keeping the truck awhile, this might be the best time to upgrade it to the 3rd gen style track bar that has bushings at each end. To use that style track bar, you would need the conversion bracket. Here is a video of the procedure -

Yep. They make brackets for all of 'em.

The biggest thing to check for regarding the bracket that I've noticed is that some are tailored to account for non-stock lift heights. Other than that, the bracket should be the same.

Here is a complete conversion kit, which includes the bracket, an adjustable track bar and all of the needed hardware.
