Default 2500 dana 80 srw to drw

Does anybody know if I can basically just throw dually wheels on my 2500 srw axle? I really don't want to buy a dually rear axle if I don't have to.

Default Why?

Why wheel adapters? Why can't I just pull my single wheel off and put duals on? What's the difference besides the dually axle being I tiny bit wider.

It's because the DRW axle is a bit wider. If you try and put the inner wheel on, on the SRW axle, it's gonna run into stuff.

Default 10 lug

I believe the dually axle in 2.5 inches wider total. So 1.25" per side. I'm running 10 lug adapters which are about 1.25 to 1.5" thick. So that would bring me to the right width of the drw axle right?
