I can't think of ANY reason your oil pressure should be that low, on a NEW motor. Is your mechanical gauge accurate? Is a plug missing somewhere in an oil gallery? This just makes no sense at all.
Same to me I tried two mechanical gauges just to be sure, I thought of that before I tore the motor down the first time. No plugs missing. I just dropped it off at a reputable engine rebuilders in my local town. That's all they do. They said they will look over it and tell me if anything is wrong for $120. I told them my problem.

stock gauges in just about every vehicle made are built so damn cheap there really only good enough to tell you if something is working or not... speedo and tach are the only thing even close to accurate. some vehicles display dead center normal on temp, oil, volts while driving unless something is drastically wrong so people wont bring their car in thinking something is wrong because the needle keeps moving around [ford]. like when the fans kick on and the temp drops then kick off and the temp rises... friggin lie 'o meters. /rant
