5.2 magnum Build/upgrade
Hey guys I'm new to the Forum and I'm having trouble trying to fund some good solid answers or suggestions on a build I'm doing. I currently have 97 ram 5.2 magnum 4x4 and I'm looking for suggestions on how to get more power out of it. I had a 01 ram with the 5.9 and the 5.2 feels just a little more sluggish and didn't pick up like the 5.9 I had before.
As of right now what I have done to it is I upgraded the wires set cap and rotor and the spark plugs for the acceleration super tune kit. And I have a airaid intake on it as well. Thanks for any info and I'll try to reply as soon as I can.

Lots of threads of this nature around here. Search will turn up LOTS of useful info.
That said, nothing beats the almighty cubic inch, have you considered swapping out to a larger motor?
Welcome to DF!

Yes I have! I've been thinking about getting a used 360 block from the junk yard and tearing it down to the bear minimum and going from there but first I want to try and get more power out of this 318, have any idea where to find some rt heads for this thing?
Pretty much any performance improvement for the 5.9 will also work on the 5.2. (and the reverse is also true.) Just depends on how weird ya wanna get, and if you are willing to pay for custom tuning. (which means you need the ability to do data logging.)
Yeah I got a friend who does custom tunes at the shop he works at, so after all these mods I'm headed to him for that

Yeah it does! Haha I was reading some of the other forums and I think I got of an idea on what to do, EQ head (thanks for the recommendation), Hartland sharp roller rocker, m1 single plane manifold, a mild cam and I'm going from there haha
