ok thanks

so i oilled the ring and slipped it up the half and then the other half i put a dab of the antibiotic flange sealant on each end and put it up inside the block as i off set it so part will sit in the lower cup and upper block

then i put i put antibotic sealant on cup by where the seal is and then the rtv black beside it where it spreads some into gasket hopefully i put enough in and i then tightnened it down to 85foot pounds ... now ill do the pump at 35 and pan at 15 and i dipped the bolts in oil didnt use locktite for the 85 and pump bolts

oh and i took the plate off that bolts to the crank shaft that you bolt the torqu converter to i going to use locktite on that but how tight are those i couldnt find specs for those bolts

i have question

how do you know when to use locktite and when not to.. for that flex plate thing you said 55 pounds and i used locktite as they had some green locktite on there

but the bearing cap and oil pan i didnt use no locktite just some some oil.. but there is no lock washers.. does it not come loose without the locktite or is it because i did 85 foot pounds that it wont come loose and 35 for the oil pump

as i not sure

I may use some thread sealer on head/intake bolts, but, I rarely use locktite on anything. (aside from the plenum pan bolts....) Generally, bolt torque will keep things in place.

Added insurance.

Some of those bolts are in REALLY inaccessible locations, so, having them come loose becomes a major production to fix.
