Default 2001 pdc

Truck died a few weeks back. Asd relay just clicking. Fuel pump constantly running with key on. Tried all the simple stuff. Swapped pcm with another truck. No change in this truck and that computer worked fine in another truck...mechanic believes the box under the hood has a short somewhere. However he can't locate an after market replacement. Evidentially they aren't carried anywhere? All local stuff as well as eBay sellers seem to cut the wiring harness making it no good to me. Can anyone point me in a direction to locate a PDC? I believe only 2000 and 2001 would be compatible. 5.9 4x4. Thanks!

Going to have to surf junkyards. Engine size doesn't matter, (so long as it's a v-8) just needs to be same trans, (manual, or auto) and same number of drive wheels. (maybe)

So are you confident that one can't be purchased elsewhere?

That's going to be a dealer only item for the 'new' market. It's an item that rarely fails, so, no aftermarket support at all.

Try searching Craigslist for anyone parting out a truck of that vintage. Is it a 1500 item only, or would a PDC from a 2500/3500 work as well?
