Default No acceleration

My 98 1500 is has no acceleration when driving just slow. Just replaced the gasket where the air box sits and it runs like crap any suggetions.

98 1500 5.9l
no acceleration. Just replaced alternator, battery, and air box gasket. Was running great then last night no power. Pressed the pedal all the way down and nothing. Heard a hissing noise from the back of the truck, not the engine. Any clues about the loss of power.

Replaced the tps still nothing.. Had it hooked up on the computer and no codes nothing. My mechanic is taking the scanner back to the shop to do more research. And my water pump went as well. Still has no power when the gas pedal is pressed. Hopefully will have some good news tomorrow night.

Did your (so called) mechanic check the fuel pressure? You will get no code for that. If good pull the 02 this will open up the exhaust if the cat is clogged. No code for this either.

So here is the update.... after messing around with the O2 sensor( trying to get it out). No luck because dodge has amazing placement of them. I cut my tail pipe behind the cat. Took my air hammer with a long chisel punched a few holes down the length of it, and she runs great again. And very loud. Just want to say thankyou to everyone in the dodge community for your input and advice. Yes i will be getting a new cat installed in the future.
