ok I have found multiple replacement AM/FM CD-Cassette radios with 3 band EQs..
according to many ads I have read they all interchange BUT I have the infinity system
in my 97 so my question is WILL they all actually interchange or is the infinity 3 band EQ
radio a stand alone unit
some of the radios are RAZ units which I believe means they have the RDS system

The infinity door speakers have built in amplifiers so if you're planning on using the stock door speakers and wiring you'll want a head unit with either an amplifier trigger or antenna trigger output that will be connected to the wire that tells the built-in amplifiers to power-up. Otherwise, you'll need connect the built-in amplifier trigger to a switched 12v.Originally Posted by ramsportrocks

Rebuilt/modified units sell on ebay. typically run 200 ea.
Each comes with a description specifying vehicle compatibility, include Infinity sys & Non.
I had planned on going this route until i realized that the factory amps went out.

say fit from 94-2001 but do not specifically state infinity system and when I ask they aren't sure
and say well buy it and you can return.... uhhh yeah AT MY EXPENSE and as I said I only want to
have to pull the radio one time for replacement.. my dash is perfect and I would like to keep it
that way by not fudging with things
