Default Transmission issues

So I have a 97 ram 1500 4x4, it has a 5.9 liter engine, and the 46re transmission. So one day my transfer case blew up, and it took the bell housing with it. I got a used transmission from the junk yard, and changed it out, well it had all the gears for awhile, and then it started to slip. So then I decided to buy a parts truck, it was a 5.9 liter 4x4, but it was a 96. The transmission worked great. So I put that transmission into my 97, and it did the same thing. So then I decided to rebuild the transmission I bought from the junk yard, I put that one in, with a rebuilt torque converter (different torque all together) and it worked amazing for the first 10 minutes, and then it started to slip, and it wouldn't shift past 2nd. I have no idea what's wrong, and I was wondering if somebody could help me

Several transmissions doing the same thing is just bizarre...... think I would check the electrical going TO the trans, and make sure the connector isn't coming apart......

welcome to DF!

May also want to remove the check valve and do a pressure test.
