Default Dodge Ram vibrations

Hello I have a Dodge Ram 1500 2wd with a single drive shaft. I am expirencing bad hopping at 40-50mph from the rear end. Just got new wheels and tires on. Also it did this with the old wheels on. I put truck in neutral and checked my universal joints and they were good. There is a spot on the drive shaft where a weight might have fallen off. Can’t tell so here is the picture. Don’t think it is though. any input is useful thank you

Probably just a part sticker there at one time.

If you jack up the rear, and run it on jackstands, does it do the same thing?

This might require a rebalancing of the driveshaft. It could also be the tires going bad.

The tires are only a month old and don’t seem to be wearing uneven in any places. I have not had it up on a jack. How much play is there supposed to be in the drive shaft? Mine only has little play. Also the truck is leveled so could the angle of the driveshaft be off and causing this?

Also the wheels were not balanced at a local shop. They came mounted already balanced with autturo trail blades

How bad is the vibration? Does the whole truck shake? Does it get better if you turn off Overdrive?

It hops bad between 45-50. The overdrive seems to make it go away but not completely. I feel it most is when I am going about 50 and let off the gas it gets bad. I’m my rear view I can see the bed hopping up and down. Can’t image what it looks like from behind

I would suggest getting that wheel balance rechecked just as a place to start.
