no low beams headlights , just high beam with dimmer switch held

hello HEY YOU and anybody else reading this , I was able to finally find the problem to this not, "uncommon" problem of no headlights on 2nd generation 98 Dodge Ram Trucks. The testing of wires and live feed by the light green/black trace and the no power from the solid light green wire to and from the multi switch was traced back to the dash headlight switch, where I found the pin for said wire was apparently loose over time and heated and melted the black plastic casing and pin block. Anyhow I appreciate your help and hope this info will help others in the future.

I have a 2001 2500 Cummins and my headlights only work with I hold the dimmer switch back also no tail lights or break lights or turn signal I had the problem with the pink/red wire and the black/yellow wire melting as well as black/orange wire that came from the blocked off end by the gauges please help so lost

If you got melted wires/connectors start by fixing them.
