Default rounded hub bolt

Im trying to change brakes on my 98 2500. Got the driver side done but i rounded one of my hub bolts on the passenger side. i got a bolt extractor kit from auto zone but there isnt enough room to swing a hammer to properly get it on to grip the bolt. i dont think that it will fully grip the bolt with the amount of pressure needed to free it. i used oil penetrator and heat aswell to help it out i made the mistake of using a 9/16 12 point instead of a 14mm 12 point so i know where i went wrong. but what i need to know or need help with is can i take the knuckle off without removing the axle. with it out of the truck and on thw ground i can either swing a hammer to try again with the extractor or stick weld another bolt head to it to get it off. or if anyone has anyother kind of solutons that would be great. i am trying to do this without needing to replace the hub or knuckle. thank you in advanced

What kind of extractor kit did you get? Most are for hex head bolts. I think you need something like this...

Yes, the short side axle will just pull out. Probably trash the seal though. Will have to open up the cad housing to put it back together.... (careful, those bolts like to break.....)
